Profile
A 155-acre estate on the Old Mission Peninsula surrounded by Grand Traverse Bay, Brys Estate is one of the largest contiguous winery estates in Michigan. Its 50-acre vineyard produces small-batch estate-grown wines including Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In 2016, Brys was named one of the Top 20 Most Admired Tasting Rooms in the United States. Guests of the brick and mahogany tasting room can look into the intimate vaulted barrel and cask rooms where red wines are aged, and seasonally enjoy a glass of wine on the elevated Upper Deck overlooking the vineyard and East Grand Traverse Bay.
Brys Estate is also home to The Secret Garden, a 12-acre agricultural oasis with more than 6,000 lavender plants, a fresh flower garden, a large strawberry patch and an herb garden. Guests can enjoy strolling the garden, picnic areas and browsing a variety of handmade lavender products in the farmhouse-inspired garden shop with a wraparound porch. Open May to November.
