1/2 cup Chateau Grand Traverse Cherry Port Wine
1/4 cup melted butter
1 pound cheddar cheese (grated)
1 cup sour cream
1-1/4 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine wine and butter in a small bowl. In food processor or blender, combine cheese, sour cream, salt and cayenne pepper. Blend until smooth. While blending, gradually add wine mixture and blend until smooth.
Cover and store in refrigerator for 24 hours to bring the flavors together. Serve with crackers.
Makes about 4 cups.
