Profile
Pux is a family-owned cider company based on a farm that has been in the Schaefer family since 1855. In 2012, the family began planting heirloom and cider apples on the homesteaded family orchards and started to create small batches of cider. The focus is on hard cider using apples that are grown on the farm and nearby orchards — about 125 apple cultivars in all, from American dessert apples to French and English cider apples.
Pux ciders range from dry to semi-sweet. The Schaefers also create blends with other local Michigan products like tart cherries, pears and hops.
