    Located in the area known as “the ridge” in northern Kent County, Stoney Ridge Vineyards visitors will discover 360-degree views that offer a feeling of being up north, yet only minutes from Grand Rapids. The winery has about four acres of grapes planted to produce several cold-hardy varieties. Its tasting room, set in a newly constructed timber-frame barn, was slated for an April 2020 opening.

      Although we were hesitant to try a winery in the middle of apple country, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the wines and the food. So much so that we joined the wine club even though we live in Yuma, AZ! Dale is a great winemaker, and Mary is a wonderful hostess of the taproom and they have established a destination place for sure!
