The last installment of Michigan Wine Month Virtual Wine Wednesday is May 27 at 8 p.m.
The final session will feature wine tastings from Nathaniel Rose Wine and Walloon Lake Winery. After that, sommelier Cortney Casey of Michigan By The Bottle tasting rooms will continue the discussion with additional vintners about how things went this past weekend when many tasting rooms were able to open across parts of northern Lower Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Winery representatives will also talk some about what to expect going forward as other parts of the state receive the green light to open under new state guidelines that limit capacity and require the wearing of masks, among others.
Other wineries expected to participate include Chateau Grand Traverse, Bluestone Vineyards, Peninsula Cellars, Boyne Valley Vineyards, Northern Sun Winery, Black Star Farms, Left Foot Charley, 2 Lads Winery and Rove Estate.
Casey has been leading the weekly sessions on behalf of the Michigan Wine Collaborative and Michigan Wine Country.
