Michigan by the Bottle has been offering its popular 12 Days of Christmas Surprise Cases since 2020, available through the MBTB tasting rooms in Auburn Hills, Royal Oak, and Shelby Township. Owners Shannon and Cortney Casey collaborate with their store managers to curate a sweet case and a dry case for shoppers that include a mixture of reds, whites, bubblies, and occasionally even a hard cider. These cases are hand-wrapped in festive paper and labeled with dates to mark when recipients should open and enjoy each of the 12 wines. MBTB is accepting preorders through Nov. 30 at mbtbtasting.com/events. These surprise cases are available for in-store pickup only.

For a personalized gifting experience, shoppers can rely on the gifting concierge at Aurora Cellars in Lake Leelanau. Launched earlier this year, Aurora Cellars’ gifting program allows customers to create customizable gifts for loved ones that have their own unique flair. To partake in the gifting program, shoppers can head to auroracellars.com/gifts, where they can fill out an intuitive online form to describe their gifting needs and budget. Once this form is completed, the gifting concierge will design a tailored gifting plan. Customers can even elect to engrave special messages onto their bottles and send a note to the giftee. Each of these gifts is sent in luxurious packaging selected by the gift giver. Depending on the size of the order and any special detailing, the concierge team should be able to ship an order within two weeks of receipt. The Aurora Cellars team recommends that customers send in orders by Dec. 1 for Hanukkah or Dec. 11 for Christmas.
